When it comes to heating baguettes, there are various methods available. Follow these suggestions to ensure a perfect balance of a crunchy crust and soft middle:

From Freezer:

  • High Heat: Preheat your oven, toaster, or grill to 400-425°F. Place the frozen baguette inside and heat for approximately 10-15 minutes. Ensure thorough heating until the crust is crunchy and the middle is soft. If the baguette remains crumbly after toasting, continue heating until desired texture is achieved.
  • Lower Heat: Alternatively, you can heat the frozen baguette at 350°F for 25-30 minutes. Monitor the baguette to ensure it's fully heated in the middle. After heating, allow it to rest for at least 10 minutes before slicing. Note that these times and temperatures are based on electric convection ovens; adjust accordingly based on your oven type.

Thawed First (in Fridge or at Room Temperature):

  • If you've thawed the baguette beforehand, it will require less time to reheat.
  • Sliced: Once thawed, slice the baguette in half or into small rounds. Toast the slices in a toaster or oven, or heat them in a skillet with a fat like butter or olive oil. The exact time will vary based on the thickness of the slices and your toaster/oven settings.
  • Whole: To reheat the whole baguette in the oven, preheat to 350-425°F and heat for approximately 10-20 minutes. If toasting in a toaster, slice the baguette in half lengthwise and toast for 1.5-2 standard toasting cycles.

Experiment with these methods to find what works best for your preferences and equipment.
